My name is Joe Pawlak and I am a Math, Science & IT Tutor for middle school, high school and college students. I live & work in Fairfax County, Virginia.  I offer both home-based tutoring and email tutoring services.

Home-Based Tutoring is offered to students in the Northern Virginia area; this includes Fairfax County, Falls Church City, Arlington County & Alexandria City. Commuting concerns limits home-based tutoring to weekends for DC, Prince William & Loudoun County students.

Email Tutoring is an option for any student with a PC.  Your questions in Mathematics and Physical Science can be addressed in a convenient & timely fashion.

After a career in satellite communications and corporate computing, I have returned to my first love, teaching - in part because I enjoy a captive audience and the sound of my own voice ... and, on occasion, I believe I can contribute to the general public's mathematical and scientific literacy.  

My Resume may tell you more than you really want to know; I have been told that reading it works better than a sleeping pill ... or even a math text.

Tutoring is available in the following subjects - algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, statistics, physics, chemistry, test prep (SAT, GRE, ...) and IT (MS_Office_Suite, web builds, PC security issues).

Also, my home-based students are invited to email their problems for free.  I will answer it or refer you to a helpful source.  Motivated students usually need only a shove in the right direction.
